The design indaba is Jacaranda International’s annual exhibition of visual arts. This would include paintings, sculptures, designs as well as live art.
The event is held at our school and is a celebration of the arts, and its true impact on our civilisation, in all facets of our everyday lives.
Our students spend time throughout the year fine tuning their skills, as to present to you, our supporters, the final masterpieces.
This year we have chosen to focus on home, because there is no shortage of inspiration from mama Africa herself.
Africa is often referred to as the heart of our planet, and we as Africans know that our beautiful continent, with its diverse cultures and its warm and friendly peoples, this heart is indeed golden.
The Jacaranda family has always had art, in the bottom of our hearts.
Our students have studied many artists who originate from Africa and South Africa, in order to gauge and understand how they too fell in love with Africa’s artistic values.
Here below are a few of the Globally recognised artists our students and school have used as inspiration for their artistic journeys.
Jacaranda International is a STEAM Focused institution, therefore Art, in all its aspects, is very important to us.
Understanding the arts, implements creative ways of thinking and critical ways of problem solving. This enables our learners to truly have the best of future ready skills.
