OUR HISTORY
A LEGACY OF EDUCATION
Jacaranda International’s alma mater, Smiley Kids Rooihuiskraal, now called Jacaranda Pre-Primary, is an early childhood education bastion in Centurion in operation for more than two decades. It is a family-owned business with a superb reputation for both service and early years development and education excellence.
The constitution of Jacaranda International was the direct answer to a demand from existing Jacaranda Pre-Primary parents to extend services to the arena of independent schools. The relationship between Jacaranda Pre-Primary and Jacaranda International is symbiotic but the schools are completely independent legal and operational entities.

The governance and management of the schools are firmly within the embrace of an overarching executive and senior management team constituting the Joint School Board of the schools.
The Board ensures consistency in practices across the schools and the continuation of client-focused service levels, strong, hands-on management, and the execution of holistic child-orientated policies, ethical business practices, and research- and science-driven education philosophies.

As children learn to participate in and enjoy the life of the school, they must have the example of a warm and supportive community around them. Our school community is ever-changing and ever-growing. Partnerships are an important part of school life, whether between teacher and child/teen, parent and teacher, or associations with our local community; working together to achieve our Vision is essential.
Celebration and traditions are a big part of our involvement with the local community. These special times creates happy traditions and memories and a sense of belonging for all. Our learning community involves teachers, support staff, and parents working together, alongside the local civic and business community of the City of Tshwane – a true learning community!
